Part 2 of my Pokemon story...
Right, now that you know some of the basics, we can try it out for
real, pair up and prepare to battle each other.' Commanded the tutor,
touching his glasses with a finger. Two boys made to wrestle each other, forgetting about their Pokémon. 'Use your Pokémon, boys!' Yelled the tutor.
'Oh yeah!' Exclaimed one of them, realisation dawning on him, 'Go, Gulpin!'
'Go, Munchlax!' Yelled the other boy, as one by one, the class paired up and sent out their Pokémon to cries of 'Scyther', 'Venonat', 'Ponyta' and 'Pikachu', amongst others.
'My name's Jack. What's your name, and the name or your Mudkip?' Asked Jack, turning to Pink.
'I'm Pink, and this is Muddy, what's the name of your Poochyena?' replied Pink.
'Fang, prepare to battle! Fang use howl!' Yelled Jack.
'Mud‐slap, Muddy!' Responded Pink as Fang howled and her Mudkip fired mud in its face, lowering its accuracy.
'Oh no, didn't expect that, never mind, try to shake it off, Fang!' Commanded Jack. 'Now tackle it!'
All around the room, battles were raging, each Pokémon refusing to give in. Fire flared, electricity cracked and poison splattered amid the chaos until someone had to give.
'Oh no, Venonat!' Cried the Venonat's trainer as it lost to a Ponyta after dodging its attacks and scattering sleep powder too late. Ponyta dozed but Venonat fainted.
'Oh well, better luck next time! Proclaimed the tutor as battles gradually ended around the room, 'You did well to last so long against a clearly advantaged opponent. Well done class, when your battle has ended you may leave for break, I will quiz you afterwards to check your knowledge so far, do not worry, I am suprised by your expertise even at this stage.'
Pink's battle had ended with her having lost due to disobedience from her Mudkip. 'That was a good battle, Pink' said Jack as they left the room, 'Muddy will obey you in time'. Continues next time (God willing)...
